The sweater is worked from top down or from hem up, in Ballerina Chunky Mohair.
From top down:
Begin to cast on sts for back, work back and forth with turning rows to shape slanting shoulders. Cont back and forth until underarms. Knit up sts on each shoulder for each front, work back and forth with inc for neck and join the two fronts to one. Work front back and forth until underarms, then join back and front on same ndl. Cont in rnds with pattern according to diagram, and end with ribbing. Knit up sts on armhole edge for sleeves, and work in rnds with pattern according to diagram, cont St-st and end with ribbing. Work neckband.
From hem up:
Begin to cast on sts for back and front. Work ribbing in rnds before working pattern according to diagram. When diagram is finished, cast off sts for armholes and work back and front separately. Work sleeves in rnds from ribbing up and with pattern according to diagram. Work neckband.
TENSION
16 sts St-st with 5 mm ndls = 10 cm, 16 sts and 20 rnds pattern with 5 mm ndls = 10 cm
