Work sweater in St-st from neck down in Peer Gynt.
Start to cast on sts for the back, right and left shoulder will be shaped separately with turning rows. Cont back and forth over sts for the back until underarms. Knit up sts on shoulders for left and right side of front. Shape shoulders with turning rows, and cast on sts for neckline. Join fronts when slit is long enough for zipper. Join back and front at underarms and cont in rnds until full length, end with ribbing. Knit up sts on each armhole edge for sleeves. Work sleeves in rnds until full length, end with ribbing. Work neckband in ribbing back and forth. Work turning rows for left and right side of neckband to create and shape a higher neckband at back. Fold neckband to WS and work back and forth with dec for front band to fit into the deeper neckline. Knit up sts at edges of slit on front for zipper. Sew in zipper nicely.
