Hugsy Hood Junior
The two-colour Hugsy Hood Junior is a soft and cool hood knitted top-down in Kos and Poppy. It’s shaped with short rows and features a seamless top for a neat finish. Stitches are picked up around the face for a ribbed edge, and the neck is worked in the round for a snug fit. This version uses Poppy as the main colour and Kos as the contrast colour. Single-colour versions a and b are also included in the pattern.
Begin with the hood, and work from top down. Cast on sts with Judy`s Magic Cast On, to avoid visible seam at top of hood. For a more beginner friendly method, work regular cast on and sew parts tog at finishing. Shape of hood is created with turning rows, inc and dec. Cont to knit up sts at face edge, and work ribbing. At the end, cast on sts for the neckband, join tog with sts for hood and cont ribbing in rnds. For the two-color version, work edging at face edge and neckband in pattern col.
