Work pants in St-st from waist down. Begin to work double waistband, for elastic band. Work turning rows for extra height at back. Inc sts at middle front and middle back for gusset, before dividing sts on ndl, and work each leg separately. At finishing crochet scallop edgings on evenly spaced rnds, for edgings to appear as small layers.
