Polly Dress Junior is a light and playful dress with feminine ruffle details, knitted in soft Poppy. Worked from the top down, it features shaping with short rows and a beautiful ruffled hem.
Polly Dress Junior is worked from the top down. The dress begins with a provisional cast-on for the front, which is worked back and forth using short rows and side increases. The front continues to the underarm before the back is worked in the same way. The pieces are then joined and the dress is worked in the round with side increases. At the hem, the stitches are cast off before twice as many stitches are picked up to create a decorative ruffle. Finally, an i-cord edging is worked around the neckline and armholes for a clean finish.
