eg to work ribbing in rows (back and forth), then cast on cutting sts at middle front, and cont in rnds with pattern according to diagram. Cast off middle front sts for neck, cont pattern in rows and cast off sts at each side of neck.
Work sleeves separately with pattern according to diagram. Cut at middle front and for armhole at sides.
Work front bands and neckband.
