If you need a quicker project, maybe April top is what you want, Lace pattern or ribbing singlet. Marina sweater is a real sailor summer classic, if you choose other colors than traditional white and navy, the expression changes completely. Cone top and River top both have a round yoke which is quite easy to knit.
