Work sweater from neck down and with pattern according to diagram in Mandarin Petite.Â
Begin to cast on sts for the back, and work until underarms. Knit up sts on each shoulder for left and right side of front. Work inc and dec at neck to create and shape neckline and at the same time work turning rows for slanting shoulders. Join the two sides to one front, work until underarms and join back and front. Cont to work back and front in rnds, and end with ribbing. Knit up sts on armholes, and work sleeves with pattern according to diagram. Dec evenly spaced on underarm to shape sleeve, and end with ribbing. Work neckband. Work garment with double yarn (= 2 strands Mandarin Petit).
